VISION
Afghan-Canadian Interpreters believe that Afghan Interpreters and other Locally Employed Civilians who provided services to the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan deserve to be relocated to Canada, along with their family members at risk if they remain in Afghanistan, and should be granted Canadian citizenship.

MISSION
The Afghan-Canadian Interpreters Relocation Initiative believes that Canada has a moral and urgent responsibility to provide immediate relocation and safety to Afghan Interpreters and other Locally Employed Civilians who provided support services to the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan.

We also believe it is Canada's ethical duty to provide a voice for the unheard & left behind Afghans who took on both risk and responsibility for keeping our Canadian Armed Forces members safe in Afghanistan, a country we would have been unable to navigate if not for their help.

CURRENT OBJECTIVES
  • Our organization will consolidate accurate and relevant information about all of the Locally Employed Civilians in Afghanistan, who have previous employment in any capacity with the Canadian Armed Forces, Embassy or Canadian NGOs
  • Our organization will ensure all information collected is able to be passed on to the Canadian Government (and third-party advocacy organizations) clearly, simply and quickly when requested through a transparent and collaborative process.
  • Our organization will additionally strive to ensure we obtain maximum support for this initiative from the Canadian public, organizations & businesses, media & journalists and political leadership.
  • Support all Afghans as they navigate the administrative processes & requirements to meet the requirements of resettlement and Canadian citizenship.
